This is new to me, but I believe that anyone raising a child by themselves needs to be celebrated. It is not an easy job by any means. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely Post and a good reminder to me to be grateful my own Dad was such a darling and that I did have their father around when my children were young. Still, I went to University and cared for my teenagers on my own and worked when I could.

My uncle died and left a family of 8, the youngest being 2 months old. My auntie had to find a job in a time but she first had to be trained in something. She had it hard, to say the least. Her children all came through just fine, but every Father's Day they gave her a gift and a card. Just because...

Father's Day holiday is a mixed bag (emotionally) for those whose

father left the scene, never showed up, or passed away while the children were so young and vulnerable. I do give credit to the mothers who were strong and did the parenting and everything else for their kids. Recognizing their strength and resiliance is the least we can do by way of thanks.
