I hope you will post a picture of the wreath once you finish it.
I also believe certain birds are "messengers" sent to comfort us.

Dear Kabu: Re: A lovely day after the rain.
I'm commenting here because your post is in "Comments." Tis a lovely post, as are all of your posts. Your garden must be the prettiest garden anywhere. And that's so interesting about the cardinal visiting. Yes, I would put one on the wreath also. I so love cardinals. Take care, S. Sister.

A lovely day after the rain.
** I went to sleep last night listening to gentle rain falling onto the decking and dripping from the trees. What a pleasant way to sleep. We didn't get lots of rain but the garden is looking very pretty and there are Peonies blooming everywhere. From delicate pink to ruby red and then red petals with a pink and white center. I love the Peonies when they are out.
** It was grocery shopping day today and mail pick up. Goodness me that tiny little funeral for Wiley cost over $7500. My Wiley was so good to me. He paid for it some years ago; of-course expecting a much bigger funeral but I suppose the Funeral Parlor inflated the costs to justify all the money he had paid. No I am not asking any questions. It is just something to think about if you don't want to leave a burden for your family.
The Federal Government sent me a cheque for $1700 which wouldn't go far if you were living from a very small pension.
** Shops are opening up in the local town with distance from each other and mask wearing, I was able to visit an art shop where I bought the makings of a heart shaped wreath. I intend to cover it with silk flowers, a bumble Bee, and a red Cardinal Bird. The day after Wiley passed a bright red Cardinal was hopping around in a tree at the front of the house. People here believe it is a sign of a last visit from your loved one; so I will put this Cardinal I bought onto my wreath, in honor of the local belief.

Kabu
You must have a four leaf clover in your lawn to see them. I was reading S today.

Sending love back and those fairies are keeping things all magical for you and the crows are always on the lookout for food. All's well is the storm's abate. May tomorrow's weather be pleasant.

I'm not surprised that Tweetie has helped himself to the leftover
kitty food. Very tasty and nourishing from his point of view. Nice that your fairies are there for the season. A little magic in the garden is a good thing.

Good afternoon
The fairies love a good chat. We had thunder boomers here yesterday along with a hail storm. The hail was so hard that it chipped my paint on our new car in a few spots on the roof. As for the puddy tat food, maybe you could give the wet cat food to the raccoons. They seem to like leftovers.

Good Afternoon
Kabu, I love how close you and your Fairies are to each other. My fairies are doing much better this week. Last week they were traumatized by the tree cutting but it's quiet here today and they have been busy making decorations for the 4th of July. It's one of their favorite times of the year. They love all the celebrations and believe it or not they like the beautiful fireworks. If they go in the backyard they can see them off in the distance. I looked in to see what they are making and I saw some delicate little napkins with shooting stars in red, white, and blue. I might have to have them make some for me. I promised them on the 4th of July I would make them a red, white and blue cake. They are very happy about that.

If ever you find a spare magic wand, I really do need one for a poor little fairy.
I would not ask but her sobbing is more than I can bear. I have not seen my cat for two days, one very similar was in the porch today I think it is the one that stole a packet of cat food and somehow opened it. I wonder if some old lady cannot tell the difference they both look alike. I have fixed up two rat expellers I hope it keeps the rat away. Just phoned my S.I L she said Archie brought her a punnet of strawberries from the greenhouse. She had to soak them because of the greenfly. She said they were lovely though.
