I hope you are staying cool. Black flies are no fun! When I was in Arkansas I got bit by a tick and it got infected and I had to go to the doctor. He gave me high-powered antibiotics and told me to stay away from ticks. It took forever for it to heal. Enjoy your beautiful garden.

Thing about flies, they really literally chew a hole in their victim. I've heard they drive the deer in the northern parts of Canada just wild, swarming!
I'm so glad you dealt with that before it got worse!

Excessive heat, humidity, insects. Other than that, summer's great.

They are disgusting. I have started seeing them in our yard. They land on you and stay put as if glued to your skin even when you wave them away.
