It does seem that we are getting drier summers. I have been reluctant to plant out, but one cannot wait too long. I would hate the mosquitoes. The trouble is you are too tasty,

In Maryland, there's no consistent weather pattern in terms of rain. You can have a month be a downpour. Then the the next time that year, hardly anything falls. Farmers have their work cut out for themselves. That is for sure.

Kabu, I sure hope you get rain. I always learn from you and I love your posts. I never knew you had so many mosquitos by you. I wonder why that is? Is there a lot of water around you? How do you keep them from biting you?

I think the dragonfly recognized a friendly - I also think they're a bit magical. Thank you for your description of the planting cycles - the differences between the ones in Canada and those in Australia. It helps me balance my awareness of the way the world works.
