My Brother spent a year and a half in Viet Nam!  He was there early on and didn't wear uniforms.  He was attached to the Army Security Agency.

Good afternoon

Thankfully, no. We still have family members currently serving, and with an unclear future where this world is concerned, serving is a serious gamble. I pray that they all make it into retirement unscathed.

I know you're proud of your Marine and the sacrifice he made,

even though you'd have preferred a different outcome. We are all safer now because of those who fought for us, and grateful that we can go on in peace.

Re: Corbin - Absolutely!

And to be anything less than proud and grateful for that service, for him paying the ultimate price, would be to dishonor both him and his memory. He wanted to go, to serve. I remember. I remember opening a newspaper and seeing his picture on the front page: ”Local Marine Shot Diwn - No Survivors.”  Like many others.

It was a choice he made. And was probable proud of his service.  That's what yesterday was all about...."Remembering"!
