Do they have Habitat Restores there? There's also Salvation Army. Craigslist has freebies sometimes.

I presumed they had junked and bought new ones. It's the principle of the thing - a clean used one looks good when prospective buyers and real estate agents visit.

every time I switch on my washing machine I wonder if it will still work.
it is the inconvenience of installing a new one .so I use it on the lowest wash available as some washes take forever. I hope you can find somewhere suitable. Not much fun being alone through Winter. It is a bit depressing the Indian variant of the virus now overtaking our own miserable scourge. One thing the vaccine appears to be keeping it in check. Just planting my pinks out, hope to show them later. Good job when you get the final jab, it makes life easier.

Kabu, I was so sure you were going back to Australia. I can totally understand your reasons for not going there. I would feel the same way as you. I do hope you are not too far from your loved ones when you move. I hope the repair guy can fix your washer so that you don't have to buy a new one. They are so expensive and probably not made as good as the one you have. It's so cold here that we have the furnace on. Roy had to bring the plants inside tonight. It's supposed to rain most of the weekend. I'm not sure if you know of a place called Cedar Point that is located near here. It's a very big Amusement Park. It's in Port Clinton. They had to shut the park down and the surrounding area because of flooding and high winds. This Memorial Day is starting off with rain, flooding, high winds, and cold temps. I think it's going to be low-key for a lot of people.
