Maybe get her a book about the basics of storytelling. There are some really good books that can help her when you are busy on a writing spree or elsewhere.

Sounds as though you are beginning to feel much better and that makes me happy. I would suggest that maybe Lisa needs to get her raw story down first before she begins to edit. I usually need to edit 6 times before I am happy.
