Kabu, I'm glad your car is back home safe! She's all ready for summer driving. Your mother's flower beds sound beautiful. We usually plant our flowers in big pots, trays, and hanging baskets. Two of my favorite things in the summer are windchimes and flowers. I love the music and the beauty of the delicate flowers. I don't like the sound of those mosquitos. I have no doubt they are as big as what you say they are. We have a lake not too far from here. It's called "Mosquito Lake" and there's a reason for that. My uncle used to dock his boat there (only one season) and if you got off the lake in the dark they would eat you alive.

That is great news that little cherry red is home, safe and sound.
Extra tires are never a bad thing. Better to be prepared for all weather conditions.

I would love to have a huge lilac tree for both fragrance and privacy. Our yard is just about out of room where planting anything else is concerned.

Sounds like you had some excellent training at the flower gardening.
I love the deep purple lilacs, beautiful and they smell so good, too.
