The bus could tell a lot of interesting stories, I believe. It's seen quite a lot.

If you put your life/love story into book form and called it something
like "From the Outback to Camelot" I expect there'd be a lot of people interested in reading it - maybe even making a movie of it for the Hallmark Channel.

You did the best that you could with what you had.
For a young woman with small children, you did a great job of making the best out of nothing. You are a thrifty gal. Feeding a family on a meager income is not easy. Making the dollars stretch by making homemade meals is the smartest way to ensure a hot meal every day. As for the tiny house, I have lived in a few myself. It isn't so bad once you learn how to utilize storage and put things away. There are worse things in the world than living in cramped quarters.

Good Evening
Kabu, it sounds like you struggled so much when your boys were little. I don't think the farm was meant to be because you had too many hardships there. The double-decker bus sounds intriguing to me. I'm not sure I could have lived there but I would have tried to make the best of it. When my boys were very little we lived in Arkansas and the best way I can describe it is quite simply Hell. It was so hot. 110 in the shade and where we lived the fields would catch fire when it would get too hot. At night you couldn't go outside because there were snakes everywhere. We lived near the Quachita River and at night it was cooler and they would come out. It was mostly copperheads. I'm still not sure how I lived there. When I was pregnant with my daughter we moved across the country and back to Ohio. We rented a big UHaul and we had the two boys, our fish tanks with fish, our dog and I was 7 months pregnant. That was quite a trip. I really question some of the things I've done in my lifetime. The only thing that comes to mind is the fact that I was so young.
I look forward to reading all your posts on Australia. I think we would have been great friends years ago.
