You're right all countries have that blot on their record against humanity.

Great to read about your old Country. I hope you find it soothing to write it so fluently.

It looks like most places have a sordid history of how they treated immigrants. I do believe things will improve as time passes onward.

Good Afternoon

Kabu, were the pictures you shared of Hong Kong the way the people lived there?  I found your post to be very interesting.  I'm really enjoying every detail.  Thank you!

You are such a kind person to help with World Vision. What a wonderful post. Thank you. Loved reading it and love you for being the person you are!

It seems that Canada, Australia and the USA all had the UK in their

backgrounds. Unfortunately we all had the same tendencies when it came to creating our societies - a hierarchy with the "pure" Europeans in control and any indigeneous or other persons of color as subservient. We've lost a lot of genius contributions to the world by suppressing so many.  Thank you for your thoughtful post.

You are awesome!

That is wonderful that you joined a great cause such as World Vision. That memory stuck with you for a profound reason. Too bad that the girl couldn't meet you today. She would just love you.

You are right, humans do have a tendency to behave badly.

For whatever reason people feel the need to judge that which is different from themselves. I find that if we take the time to listen to cultural backgrounds that there is a lot to learn and experience. Travel is a great educator, and that is why people want to do it without the fear of being turned away due to color or ethnicity.
