Oh my! This is so sad! I will miss reading about the backyard squirrel. Thank goodness you had the pillows in the trash bin. It was definitely a soft resting spot.

She was not run over. The sidewalk is alongside the house, not near the street. She had wounds on her body where something tore away part of her lower belly. There would have been blood, but it rained all night.

That was a sad tale, perhaps she was run over I don't think she would have been killed by another squirrel.

So sad. I have furry and feathered critters who come to my house everyday. I watch for them and worry when they don't appear.
