However, it wouldn't have mattered if Santa Claus said it, to me it was humorous. It's not a political thing; it's the way my brain interpreted the comment.

I believe the comma following "Mars" signifies the word "and"
Still, I'd rather hear his positive spin and fact-based ideas than the previous guy's wild speculation and mean spirited hostility.
