Kenny and his Mother's relationship does sound a bit odd. I would think that he will come to resent her as time passes by. It's not good for a Mother to expect the son to do everything for her.

Good morning!
That kind of relationship with a mother once you are an adult is a bit creepy, but mostly it is sad. Moms are supposed to teach us how to eventually fly away from the nest. Btw, thanks for the input on Maryland. Much appreciated.

I suppose the Mother was glad of someone as she aged, sometimes it is a problem
