Re: sassy - Thank you.

Here too, it's Nonna. I learned in Dialect; it was Nana. My Gramm would have had fun with yours. She smoked a stogie. A Panatella...

There's also one with salami, cheese and peeled hard-bolded eggs throughout.

Re: Good Morning Thank yoy so much.

THANK YOU! It's so nice to know there are others in this country  who do this still with the egg and bread. It doesn't change the taste of the bread.

I just hope that you feel better, it has been a tough time for you. I suppose Grandmothers are like Mothers in a way these days. You have to wait for the G. Grandmother.

This is such a cute entry. It's funny how we find ourselves being like our elders.

Good Morning

Sea Gypsy, I would love to be at your house the week before Easter.  You've got lots of yummy treats.  My daughter-in-law is Italian and she makes bread like you with an egg in it.  I think she learned it from her Grandma.  I hope you have a wonderful Easter!

Such an awesome memory. Around these parts, they refer to their Italian grandmother as, "Nonna." As for that Easter bread, it is the bomb! My hubby is Italian, so I have learned many of the traditions of that culture. The grandmother who I most favor in looks and height I never got the chance to meet. She died in her early 40s, and I was only three, but the picture tells it all. She was full of spunk and just plain ornery.

Congratulations! Like your grandmother you're bringing treats and

joyful memories to your favorite people - teaching them how to be kind and generous. You could do worse. :)
