I tried to catch a young crow once, I thought it could be tamed, but as soon as my hands were around it a very determined mother attacked me and I had to give that Idea a rest.

I like seeing birds interact with one another. Their behavior is striking to me.

The birds have really gotten busy, and active, and noisy around here.  The weather is so nice and sunny and wonderful and the grass is greening and things are beginning to bud.

Oh, what a sweet picture. I love your post and Camelot North will always be a place of love, especially in the Springtime! Thank you, dear.

Walt Disney had a word for the way birds are every spring. I believe it was

a scene in the movie "Bambi."  The word is twitterpated... I believe people also catch this crazy love condition at times... I believe crows are exceptionally brilliant. I once read a study done in England I believe, that shows they recognize human faces and pass descriptions down to their chicks so they will know certain persons the first time they see them.

Kabu, I love this post.  I learn so much from you.  I had no idea what crows were like until I just read your post.  You will be so happy to hear that my gnomes are all back to normal.  Mighty McV's blister has healed and that's a big worry off my shoulders.  I was afraid it was going to get infected.  I wish you could see how well mannered my gnomes have been since Sgt. Mulberry has been on the scene.  Next week we are going to try school.  I think it will be a lot easier than going to the park every day for Bootcamp training.

I love these guys.

Feathered creatures are one of my favorite yard visitors. The crows never fail to show up to our birdie buffet. As for the gnomes, ours are still sleeping in the shed. We will be waking them up in about a month or so, once the danger of winter storms has passed.
