That's what should be told! ;)
Well, maybe I'm a bit old fashioned. But I agree to this entry.
The "old" woman is absolutely right. Before (let's say) this millennium, it wasn't as bad as it has gotten nowadays.
I was born in 1982, and I still remember living a life without everything computerized. I still remember walking around with a travelling plan instead of a GPS.
I still remember listening to LPs, CDs and music casettes. Nowadays all those are "veteranized" and people use online streaming instead.
And yes, today in stores... If the cashier goes down, because there's no internet connection (by some reason), the shop must be closed till the cashier is back online.
*sigh*
What went wrong? And when?
Great entry.

Life was free back then. Why I can remember fish and chips being wrapped up in yesterdays newspaper.

I do not like cloth bags and the one thing I will give Covid credit for is getting rid of cloth bags. I'm sure they will come back though.

The times have changed for the worse in many situations.
We all played outside, getting exercise naturally from outdoor activities. I still line-dry my garments during the warmer months. I hang-dry my clothes indoors to give them a longer life. Dryers are rough on clothes.
