It's tough dealing with the memory loss. I'm glad the reasoning is sufficing for him for a time.

It must have been, well I know it was. What am I talking about. The water used to freeze in the widow sill and one could not see out. The old paraffin stove took ages to warm the room and the only way to get instant warmth was to hold ones vest over the stove. It was just a small pleasure in those cold Winter days .

Wow, that is cold.
You are smart to stay indoors during that freezing mess. Be safe and stay warm!

Kabu, I know it's a comfort when Wiley hears your voice. I was just thinking it would be nice if this virus was make-believe and we were all reading a good mystery and the virus was part of the story. Whenever we wanted to we could just shut the book and be done with the virus. Some people would want to read the book to the end but I think I would shut the book and turn it in at the used book store.
Many years ago I read a book on Ebola and I now know more about it than I needed to know. When Ebola came to the states that was very scary for me because I knew what we were all facing. Thank goodness they stopped the spread.
Stay warm and enjoy Netflix. We have Netflix too!

Your last line tells it all, Kabu. No truer words were ever spoken.
Peace. I hope you can get in to see Wiley and hold his hand one of these soon days, as soon as everyone in care, and those living outside can get the vaccinations. Hope continues that this will be over with one fine day. Stay cozy.
