I'm hopeful that we can turn the corner on the pandemic. It seems dependent right now on the vaccine rollout, which has been very slow in America.

I share your feelings on 2020.
Good riddance, and don't let the door hit you in the fanny. I am looking forward to positive changes in 2021.

Quiet here too, but the kids were all online and the wishes for a great 2021 came pinging in at midnight. Love was in the air...albeit floating through cyberspace

Couldn't help but enjoy the New Year all by myself until the hullabloo at midnight was over and went to bed and then the ice started followed by the snow. It was great. Have a really wonderful New Year.

Kabu, Happy New Year! I hope we all have a good year! I was happy to welcome 2021. I'm looking for the time when they say we can all go back to living our lives. I never did do anything very exciting but it would be nice to go into a store or restaurant without worrying about the virus. 2020 was such a hard year. When I look back on it I get the feeling that it was a science fiction movie. I'm not sure who would have written the plot but they need to give up writing. I hope you have a good evening.

I got to see the fireworks going off over Australia early in the evening.
I always enjoyed seeing the fireworks each hour as the world turns on its axis. Thought of you when they were going over Adelaide - I think that's the name of the town. Watching the celebrations and how they modified them to keep people safe was a lovely change of pace from all the political wrangling. Hoping for a more cordial and civil new year, and that the medical front liners will kick Covid's arse over the moon.
