Ciel, thank you so much for the comment. I think you are right about my neighbor. He grew up eating apple butter and he loves it. He told me it had been years since he'd tasted apple butter. It really is delicious. I'm glad you got your shopping done.

adnohr, I have a nice container in the fridge. It turned out so good. I was worried because I'd never made it before but I followed the directions and it turned out better than store-bought. It's time-consuming to make but I would definitely say it was worth it.

I love cookies.
Sounds great about the bell. Wish I could hear it. I like bells too. Especially those with a great sound.

Those cookies sound great!
Good to get the shopping done. We did that this morning, too, and so did a whole lot of other people! But I got everything needed for the Feast. I think...

It is a combo of pears, pineapple and sugar. There is probably a recipe for it on the internet. I'm sure my mother used canned pineapple and fresh pears. It was great stuff especially on biscuits..

C_C_T, thank you so much for the kind words. I would have loved working in a cake shop. Actually, there would have been two jobs that I would have really loved. One was a bakery and the other one was a library. They would have been ideal jobs for me.

I really think you would have made a good position in a cake shop. Well not at the moment but if things were normal. There again if you are happy as you are, that is the way to go.
