Fairies do not do well with noise, but babies are an exception.
This is such a sweet story.

Re: Taps
I should not think our postman would know if there was a crows nest. So many different ones. Time was so different then. Take care.

Re: Kabu
No I expect you know why now. Hope you are O.K. A pity you cannot have a young person for company this winter.

A magical story!
I love this story! Anytime you write something magical count me in!!! We have hummingbirds in the summer and I just love them. Sometimes they land on our clothesline. That seems to be their hang out spot after they have eaten. They sit together and I imagine they are talking about their daily events. I miss them when they fly away for the winter.

Wonderful story
I wonder if I could see more of it, or if it ends here..? I sure hope there's more to come.

All good and the story has a good ring to it. My mom liked to talk of the birdies as she watched them in the mornings. They are fun, along with the fairies.

I hope in the next installment little Katie understands that her
new baby brother or sister will come to love the fairies as much as she does, whether or not s/he ever learns to speak to the birds. I hope the magic folk help her to adapt to the changes. Be safe.

I used to want us to find a baby when I was little...I think Mother was sort of glad that we never did.

When I was a little girl I was always fascinated that every summer there was a hummingbird nest in my Grandma Jelinek's post box and that the postman would get out of his mail cart and bring her letters up to the door so that he wouldn't bother the hummingbirds. It was the first place I remember seeing hummingbirds and I thought they were little fairies flitting about.
