C_C_T, it truly is a worldwide problem! I worry so much for the homeless when our temps drop down low. I know there were some churches that would take them in during the very cold nights but now with the COVID, I'm not sure where they will go. I just heard about a lady that has been sleeping in an abandoned truck in our area. I do not know her but she is going to have to find a place to stay before the temps drop and the snow starts coming down.

Yes sadly it is probably getting worse. We grumble but it must be tough for the homeless.

Each stanza could become a poem on it's own almost. It's a poem that one should read more than once. I picture a person who has had it too hard in life.

Memories of a time gone by
This makes me think of children when they are young and the memories they gather of family and friends. For some, they fall on hard times by choice or circumstance and their memories are of a time that goes drifting by in the wind. It reminds me of all the homeless people that have lost their jobs due to unforeseen circumstances and are left to pick up the pieces. The dilemma is real and the pieces of their lives are scattered far and wide and it's not easy to pick them up and put them back together again.
