Watch out for those drunk gnomes. They are mischievous at best.

Graysome is so sweet and protective of his mama.
We once had a cat with much the same attitude. It is good to have a male around who actually cares.

Cats are quite artful, well they have been around since the pyramids. I find I have to brush my stray cat a couple of hundred times or he will keep following me. He used to go to another house, but they moved on so its appetite has increased. Gnomes don't really like winter weather as well you know, it does not seem two minutes since they were on duty.

It sounds from your latest posts that everyone is settling in with the big life-changing adjustments--Wiley, you, and Graysome. And the gnomes!
Embers has been all over me since Charlie and I have been making our weekly little road-trips. I know some people who have stayed home with their pets are having to look ahead to going back to work, and the cats and dogs not understanding the sudden absences. Maybe this is a way to ease them into being on their own whole days again.

Mr. Graysome in charge
Kabu, as always I love your posts! Mr. Graysome sounds like one of a kind and I love that about him. I think he is in charge and that thought makes me smile. We are still bringing our plants inside and by the weekend we have to have everything done outside because the cold weather is coming our way. It's going to be in the '40s soon and then after that, we will take a downward spiral into the '30s and then snow! I think your gnomes will look quite spiffy next spring and I do hope they have a nice rest this winter. I'm thankful mine are already sleeping but when they wake up and find out there's a new gnome in their midst I'm not sure how they are going to take that. We shall see! I hope you have a wonderful day.

I hope your gnomes appreciate all the TLC you're giving them...
I know Graysome does. He'd probably tackle a coyote for you, should one come nosing around while you're working in the garden... And the coyote would lose that one.
