Well done most would have probably wasted most of it. We have food waste containers here now it is surprising the stuff that gets thrown out. I only use it very rarely if the bread goes off. Although I have some packets of cat food that the cat won't touch, I'll open them and put it in the bin when its frosty

A hot meal on a chilly day, sounds very cozy and contented.
And having home cooked meals in the freezer sounds much better than the commercially prepared ones. Enjoy.

I have such a habit of jumping around on my eating, some days I make wonderfu veggie hot pots, and some days I eat junk. Today it was chocolate satin ice cream and a bag of Ruffles have ridges.

It all sounds delish. Food has become an all-important issue here also. More than ever... Especially getting anything really fresh - I don't know where it goes but not often in these parts. Your leaves must be gorgeous. Here it is hot and fire danger abounds.

We don't waste anything either. When I lay something out, I cook it.
It sounds like the pots of food that my mom used to make. We called them, "skillet surprise." She would toss meat, vegetables, a can of soup, a bit of this and that, and it was delicious. I love those canned beans in maple syrup. They are good with ham or bacon added to them. I am guessing that Graysome doesn't want any soup. Poor little guy. Your soup would be perfect for a cold night when you are all snuggled up in your warm jammies. Enjoy!

Kabu, your food sounds delicious! Count me in for anything with maple syrup. I love it. There's a few things in my freezer that I didn't label and it's anybody's guess what they are. It's going to be a surprise for whoever pulls it out. I know that trip to the vet wore Mr. Graysome out. He just needs quiet time to get back to himself. Our temps are dropping here and it's feeling very chilly here this afternoon.
