What a day you had! I’m glad you got the papers out of the way and really glad it didn’t get out of hand too badly while burning. Yikes! Be careful. I think that burning plastic fumes can be toxic.

Oh! dear. Reminds me of the time I had a load of soft plastic in a small shed. I thought If I touched with a match it would slowly burn away. A large black cloud formed almost instantly and it was over in five minutes. I was lucky no one was around much that day only one lady who came running out pointing to
the sky.

Re: They don't allow us to burn anything here - metal barrel or on the ground.
They don't allow burning of rubbish here either, is why I hid out the back behind the garage thinking it would only take a few minutes to burn papers. LOL.

I'll say nothing of plastic burn-barrels, and not mention my latest recipe for Artichokes Pompeii. Only, that putting things to bake in the oven for 40 minutes, one should not get distracted for 7 hours.

That sounds like a great solution for the barrel. I like it.

Except of course if we've invested a few hundred bucks in a barbecue grill.

Kabu, this was a memorable day and the papers are gone! I call that priceless! I hope you share what great idea you decide on for your plastic barrel! I wish you could see Sassy's yard. She has the best display of fairies! I love it!

On the floor, I have an empty facial tissue box, with the side ripped open, for ripped or crumbled paper, from preparation of Copy for my introductions love.
