My mother would love these photos as much as I do. She always planted flowers and had a garden in our old house.

Back when we had a family home with a good-sized yard, zinnias always graced one part of the yard along a little rock section. I always loved the colors and the fact that they were easy to grow and lasted a long time. My mother before me always grew zinnias and portulaca among others.

Gorgeous. Mom always had them in her flower garden - and when she
got into painting in her late 50's, she used them as subjects for her still lifes. The flower is lovely, and so is the reminder of her happier times.
