I know of a few people who have a tendency to buy things they do not need. If it's on sale, they go for it.

Very evocative. Reminds me of a time when the Fuller brush man
used to knock, and an itinerant gentleman who could mend pots and pans - a tinker. There was the Watkins spice man, the ice man, so many ran their businesses out of a van or truck. Thanks for the reminder.

That is such an intriguing job with many offerings.
Those metal tins are experts at biting fingers, especially cold ones. As always, I enjoy your creative tales and poems. This one may be my favorite though.
