I have some pics of fairy landscape and housing. I wonder if I can find them to send to you.

I expect some are due for their pension by now. Although I suppose a lick of paint takes years off of them. No sooner you tuck them away ,it will be time to bring them out again.

It's great to read of the gnomes making the most of their time left outside, LOL.

Secret stash
Kabu, you were so right. I went in search of my gnomes secret stash and sure enough, you were right. I was trying to figure out where their hiding place could be so I went into the garage and started looking around. Right in plain sight under the toolbox was a whole case of 80 proof alcohol. How they bought it and what they used for money I have no idea. The first thing I did was gather them all together and give them a tongue lashing that they won't soon forget. They wanted to know who clued me into their stash but don't worry I didn't mention you.

Re: Re: Gnomes
Kabu, I'm glad that you brought this to my attention because my gnomes may be secret drinkers and I had no idea!

Re: Gnomes
Don't fret too much about your Gnomes, they have sneaky ways so I am betting that they have a stash you know nothing about. 3 is good, my problem is that I see one looking all miserable and just have to bring him/her home!!!!LOL.

Gnomes
Kabu, I absolutely loved this post and the details about your Gnomes. I only have three gnomes so I don't think there's enough of them to get into mischieve. I think mine are older because they never get in trouble and I've never seen them drink. They will soon be taking a long nap for winter but I didn't give them instructions on what to eat or drink but now that I'm thinking about it maybe I should. Now I feel like I've been neglecting them. We are getting fewer and fewer hummingbirds and I think some have already left before the cold winds come in for the winter. We've really enjoyed them this summer. We have a clothesline near their feeder that they like to sit on. I think if we take the clothesline down they will be sad. It's like they've made it their gathering place to talk about their day. We usually see them come in the evening. We are glad they feel at home here.

I saw flocks of birds this morning, lined up on the power lines in several
spots along the road as I drove on an errand. They usually flock like that in the autumn when they're getting organized for their migration to Mexico and Central America where they spend the winter. Seems early in the season for them to begin gathering - maybe they know something the weatherman doesn't. Your gnomes are a bit bull-headed stubborn - not taking your advice about drinking water... But it's their headache, so I hope they're happy.
