With groceries, I never write a list, but with work tasks, I do keep a list. I've compartamentalized it that way.

I would love to have one of the Refridigerators with the computer in the door and it prints out your grocery list!

Yes, Goldie is a dear. And it’s amazing how well you handled your boarder. It must have added another layer of stress to your life. I’ll bet you were glad when he was gone. And how many things you juggled simultaneously is remarkable!

Lol...I haven't heard a sound system referred by"ghetto blaster" in ages.
As for the list and being mid-thirties, I too was sharp back in that time frame. Now if I don't write it down, I can forget about it. I have never been one for gadgets or technology.

Kabu thank you so much for the mention
I loved this post. I believe so many are so involved in what they do that they lose sight of what is really important which is everyday life and keeping everything running smoothly. It's not all about computers, gadgets, and what I would call gizmos.

I met a lot of those guys who live in their head while I worked at the
university. They didn't realize their intense focus on science, statistics and high math let them fall short on the human relationship side of things - as in, how to take a hint. And there were in those days guys who thought of women as being in need of their guidance.
