Food for the body and food for the soul - even while delivering bread you were also nursing. Of the mind more than the body perhaps, but one is as important as the other. You are a perfect person for it!

It is wild now, but such things should be recorded . We used to visit an oldish lady she made loaves and a middle aged man delivered them round near villages. How it ever paid I don't know, but but I suppose the old chaps bycycle did not cost a lot to run,

What a fun job that was.
Delivering allows you to meet new people and see various sites. I can almost smell the fresh bread.

I liked so much the story of the bread run and the
parts about the newcomers from Persia, the elders, etc. Bread is the staff of life, or so they say.. Seems to have been the case with your customers.
