Good to see a pic of Wiley even if it is an old one.

A lot of pets you have had during your lifetime. I like both cats and dogs. They both bring unique things to the table.

I'm a dog person...just never liked cats. They just won't obey you like a dog does.
I have adopted one that lives under my house...a calico cat. He/she is a mouser and I give it meals as payment. But it's not coming into my house...

Kabu
There have been some special memories of animals. Most are warm, generally.

Way before Pitiful there was a yellow cat named Samson. Then a spell of doggies. One named Terry that we adopted because he hated men. Apparently at some time some male person had mistreated him. I had no trouble with him at all and neither did the boys who were young at the time, but he never did get to feeling loving and trusting toward Hubby/Daddy. He was especially vicious toward any men in uniforms: the meter readers, the mailman, etc. Then there was Fred. Ribcage named him after Fred Flintstone. He loved children playing and would jump the fence in order to go play with them. Chipper was our golden retriever/collie mix who loved swimming in the lake. The four boys would line up behind her holding onto each other and Chipper's tail and she would pull them all around the lake she was such a strong swimmer. Pitiful was the last, our black cat. We just couldn't do another after she passed away.

I am an animal person too. I love them all.
Cats are easier to care for though.

Well he dropped into a home in a million. We have watched him for a good many years. Of course you were brought up amid animals and no one looks after them better.
