It's hot here with the smell of smoke in the air. I imagine there is a fire somewhere - or our weird neighbors are burning their fireplace. Mr. G is a cutie. And all parts of your house are so welcoming. Just love it.

Very smart to keep him indoors from the hawk.
My mom lives near Lake tahoe. Her beautiful white cat, Sophie was taken by an owl. Her Siamese cat was attacked by a coyote. Prdeators are always looking for a "kitty buffet." Your gnome appears to be guarding the door. They can be ornery little guys.

I remember when Mr Greysome would sit and watch for a chippy, he did scare one at times. I hope your weather becomes more settled , we are still hoping for rain> I have given up watering the garden. Archie the chap who helps me thinks he will be able to sell the flowers, so I let him get on with it. I do find it too boring standing with a hose for 2 hours. I have to pay for what I use nothing is cheap these days.
