BigV is great with his uplifting quotes. That jolt of happiness is needed so sorely during times like these.

I also accomplished a few things in the world today--grocery shopped, and paid some bills that have been sitting here a while for no particular reason. But I just feel so out of it after going out, I couldn't get in the mood for anything.

That's the spirit. I believe that many of us are in the dumps.
It goes with the territory of this awful pandemic. It is spring and we all want to dig in the dirt, grill, read a book outside without restraints, visit the library, shop without a mask, and live our life without restrictions. I will have to check out Big V's advice. Hope you feel better.

Was it Blood, Sweat, and Tears? I might be wrong!
Lyrics
What goes up must come down
Spinnin' wheel got to go 'round
Talkin' 'bout your troubles it's a cryin' sin
Ride a painted pony let the spinnin' wheel spin
You got no money and you got no home
Spinnin' wheel all alone
Talkin' 'bout your troubles and you, you never learn
Ride a painted pony let the spinnin' wheel turn
Did you find the directing sign on the
Straight and narrow highway
Would you mind a reflecting sign
Just let it shine within your mind
And show you the colors that are real
Someone is waiting just for you
Spinnin' wheel, spinnin' true
Drop all your troubles by the riverside
Catch a painted pony on the spinning wheel ride
Someone is waiting just for you
Spinnin' wheel, spinnin' true
Drop all your troubles by the riverside
Ride a painted pony let the spinnin' wheel fly

Isn't there a song with lyrics that apply to your post of yesterday
and today? "What goes up must come down, spinning wheel, got to go 'round," I know there's more but if it ain't 70s or 80s rock & roll I don't remember more than the first eight bars. There is a stupid old joke I tell myself when I have one of those downers. It goes like this. "There I was sitting on the curb, all depressed and blue, when this guy comes along and says 'cheer up, things could be worse.' So I cheered up, and sure enough, things got worse." Thanks to Big V for me, too. If anyone knows about looking on the bright side after a long dark walk, he does. Hugs!

that's great advice from Big V. I think i will choose to be happy for no particular reason. i have a cat named Mr. Grey and it has nothing to do with the erotic trilogy, the cat is older than the book series.
