I have been experiencing weird dreams as well.
Looking at my dream book, they are a completely understandable when you look at our current situation on the planet.

My dad had the opposite approach to the lawn he never wanted, but the builders put it in anyway, because that was their deal. He called it a policy of calculated neglect. It finally died off and my mom dug little holes all over the yard and stuck ivy cuttings in. Last time I saw the old house, the ivy was like an ocean moving to take over the house.
When she was doing all that digging, the little kid, maybe 7, from next door watched her for a while, then asked if she dug deep enough, would she get to Hell?

Dreams are a great way to reset the mind for a story. I've had a few inspirational dreams that influenced my writing.
