Good morning,

Thank you for having the courage to share your story.  I was deeply touched by it.  I could relate to it in many ways.

Re: Very believable, relatable, dynamic, powerful...

Thank you, Pat.

This 'incident' and its aftermath on me (I was 'David' in this story) are all too real. Since the night I described, I've been unable to write much. My normal word output was an average of 3200 words a day, sometimes hitting over 5000 words. Last night, I had the breakthrough that I describe. I sat with my fingers on the keys for almost an hour before this story broke out.

I've had this keyboard for over six years now. It's well worn, with the letters missing from the key, but my fingers know what they are. I've always said that I might conciously write the first fifty words of a story, but after that, my fingers take over. That's what happened last night. When I stopped to read after the fingers took over, I was amazed. I have at least a dozen story ideas that have been bottled up,so maybe I can begin to move forward again.

Thanks again for stopping by and reading that nearly 3000 word missive. Back when I first came to this place, I began to post 600-800 word posts, and I was 'scolded' that this was a blog site and not a novel site. While I love the fact that people read my stuff and occasionally make comments about what I post, if I told the truth, I post here for myself. I find mistakes that I didn't see when those same words were on my Word document. Seeing them posed here, the errors just pop out at me, screaming "FIX ME!" It's crazy and so am I... but thank you, I appreciate it.

Very believable, relatable, dynamic, powerful...

I don't usually stick with a post as long as this one - my attention span has shrunk in the era of social media. Good work. I hope it's fiction.
