Re:
I've used those. CrapCleaner wanted to remove some of my bought and paid for video editing programs. I use Glary Utilities and Malwarebytes Adwarecleaner to clean more internal things and reset the windsockets and such.
I used Norton for a long time, but then their newer versions got too snoopy. I usually work on the joke my dad used to tell me. I would go to him and tell him that I had cut myself (doing something stupid) and he would tell me:
A guy goes to his doctor and says, 'Doctor Doctor! I just broke my arm in three places!' The doctor would look at it and tell him, 'If I were you, I'd stay out of those places.'

Years ago when my three daughter's used my desktop computer for schoolwork, chatting and looking up photos, I was constantly dealing with viruses, spam, pop ups, and maleware. I used to use Norton and AVG. My step-dad suggested Malewarebytes. I tried it and found that it cleaned up all issues. I also use CrapCleaner and Spyware Blaster daily. So far, so good. By the way, I use the "FREE" versions.
