I hear the Coyotes yap when they make a kill!!! it ain't going to be me...no I don't own a gun...I amnot good with a gun. I might accidently shoot my kitty as he watched me through the window.

Some might call that the "Law of Natural Selection" ...
Even down here in Kentucky, within the City Limits of Louisville, (they annexed the entire county even though we're in farm country) I wear a Glock because of the Coyotes.

Most of us - being used to the city streets where the scents are
smothered by vehicle exhaust and various outputs from chimneys and exhaust fans - don't think about animal instincts, about what phase of our cycle we're in as a factor that could impact our safety. Most people I meet have no clue that humans are relatively slow and unaware that bears and other carnivores think of them as what's for lunch. I saw a father set his little baby on the back of a bear's neck as it walked along the highway in Great Smoky Mountain national park - while the mother aimed a camera. The park bear had no fear of people whatsoever, and was ambling along the parking strip looking for a garbage can or a car with food inside. Fortunately a park ranger came along at that instant, chased the bear away. The tourist got a stern talking to.
