One of the first things we learned in journalism courses was the
need to format according to the APA style, used by most news organizations. It covered type faces/sizes, spacing, margins, all kinds of technical requirements designed to promote accuracy - in those days most stories were typed by the reporter, then typeset by the copy editor from the original page. Guess this system has adapted to the present methods - the goal being to get to the "printed" page. Looks like you're doing fine with the changes.
