Hard to escape politics in this country at the moment! The only thing most people seem to agree on is who they definitely DON'T want as prime minister. Me, I just spend as much time as I can, doing my garden.

Our Kansas City CHIEFS played their first pre-season football game last evening against Cincinnati Bengals and we beat them good. We are really ready for some excitement. The Kansas City Royals Baseball Team have not done good at all this year and sadly are going to end up somewhere close to the bottom of the barrel.

Yes. Today is a scorcher but it seems to be a day for going and doing. This evening is our first CHIEFS football game and they are expecting a full crowd inspite of the heat. Ribcage, P.D., Phil and I will be watching it inside in the A/C on the T.V. Cookies for Phil and popcorn for the rest of us.

I would hate to guess the weight of the junk mail we receive every year. I pay extra for an unlisted number, but what does it get me...30-40 calls a day, hardly any of them can speak understandable English. I answer my phone now as "Fisherville Funeral Home".
This morning I got one of the best...
"This is the investigative wing of the Social Security department, we are investigating fraud activities on your account." So I said if you're with Social Security...Read my SS number to me.....they hung up real quick.
