I went there last year, the best vacation I ever had. There's so much to do there. You'll probably find yourself with more things you want to do than the time you have on your trip.

It's a unique city, beautiful architecture, great food. But be very careful at night. The City market area is a fun place, go to Cafe Dumonde for a beignet. New Orleans coffee has chicory in it. It's a different taste.
Don't eat the same thing you would eat at home, be adventurous! I have to admit I could not eat Crawfish.
Believe it or not, you should visit a cemetery, very unique system of using the same plot over and over again.
Like those of us from Kentucky, they have a specialized accent, it's slanted toward French. If you're there for a couple of days, you should consider a swamp tour.
