Thank you. I started reading Hemingway when I was very young because I read about his suicide 'back in the day.' My first experience with 'real books' was when I found a copy of "Fire Hunter" by Jim Kjelgaard in 1960 which I still have on my desk. I started looking for Hemingway's short stories in 1962 and loved them. Hemingway lead to Capote in late 1965 and it was all downhill from there. Kjelgaard's big book was 'Big Red', but he wrote a lot of good stories for teens.
