Kudos to you for testifying, Amanda. I once had a paper straw at Green Turtle. It was incredibly icky for me. Plastic straws are still the way to go.

Thank you! And may your words be heard, loud and clear! They ban the straws and then often serve you to-go food in a plastic bag, with plastic utensils. Once can bag his/her veggies at the market in small plastic bags, but not get a plastic bag to take one's total purchases home. There are plastic trash bags, plastic food saver bags, plastic credit cards, plastic bottles, plastic jars - and straws? The biggest offenders aren't people who use, and need to use, plastic straws! Priorities are out of order here, imho. We all want to save the environment. But who are really the largest offenders? Massive corporations, not the little guy, I would think.

It's just the insanity of the eco bots, I have a case of 1200 plastic straws.....hey Starbuckers, how 'bout the plastic dome on the coffee cups?
