I understand what you are saying, but my Father always told me that if I can't spare a moment to help someone, I shouldn't expect help when I need it. I can recite Matthew 25-40 by rote. My father lived it, and he made sure that I would live it. My children are the same way.

I still can't get over the "community as a family" thing......I'm not knocking it, it's the right thing to do. But, I sure can't see me knocking on anyone of my neighbor's doors to ask for a shower.....
