I read...I'm here!
editormum, I read your stuff. I may not always comment simply because I have nothing to add to your almost-always very-well-stated posts. Why reiterate what you've already said?
And I know how you are feeling. I often post something and know people read it, but I often wonder why there's been no comment. I love seeing my posts in the top 10, but I think sometimes I love comments even more. Gives me room to improve.

What if I read my own blog?
Views from the blog's writer are not recorded, so this has no effect on your earnings or your rankings.
Please note that rankings are based on the number of unique readers, not on the number of views.

Thank you
Thank you both for the feedback. I never am sure what things I write actually get people's attention, and what things make them want to call me on the phone and say, "Why don't you get the heck out of here?" I especially appreciate that you were willing to "unlurk" to let me know you're there.

Your comments sound like...
some of the debates we've had over at
EA Forums about Income Share - that arcane system used by TPTB at Epinions.com to determine how much we earn. (Or in my case, how little - I've already earned more in two days than I earned all February at Epinions.) I'm interested in learning whether or not hits to our own blogs count in the grand scheme of things - if I refresh I am here and I am not silent on my own browser every thirty seconds, will I be able to increase its ranking? Or is it like Epinions and Themestream, where hits to your own writings don't/didn't count? And why is it that those of us who are merely prolific manage to get as many comments as those who write quality blogs (like
Joanne Jacobs and yourself)?

I enjoy your blog tremendously...
...but I'm afraid I don't comment very often, since I tend to obsess over my comments.
I suppose I'm part of the great hidden lurker underground!
