I'm so glad. Every little bit helps. My hands and toesie can turn blue and get numb when it's under 55 degrees, so I can imagine how your hands must have felt. Stay warm, everybody.

and he is using the rail every time that he sits up and then stands from his bed. it is a back saveer for me.

chilblains I remember Chilblains on fingers and toes and how they would itch and burn when I was a child.

Glad to hear that the rail help Wiley (and you) and that he likes it. Congrats to you for going out in the freezing cold to get the trash cans. That's a very, very cold time you described. I hope the rest of your day is peaceful and pleasant, and warm.

My hands used to get that cold when it was my job to chop the

firewood. We had a woodshed, so I was under a roof, but there was an open wall on one side, so the wind could blow in. Had to take off the gloves to do the chopping, because I had to have a good grip on the large piece on the chopping block, and on the axe handle. Your description of how you warmed your hands was exactly how it worked then. Good news about the rail at the head of the bed...
