From RP's comment I learnt that it is your B'Day. So here's wishing you for all good things to happen and do take the much-needed rest and for a while, forget what's going to happen in the future. One thing about Sir Wiley I have found is, that he has an innate capacity to bounce back. Hope this time too, it comes true.

It may not have been much fun, but you were wise to take care of
the necessary business; seems like there's nothing much more important than keeping a roof over your head. I'm guessing Mr. G was glad to see you when you got home - am assuming there were tasty kitty treats among the essentials from the market. Now you can look forward to getting your hair done and being pampered next time.

I admire your ability to carry on, to maintain, and to be cheerful and upbeat while confronting a literal litany of adversity. You are one super lady. And I wish you and Wiley all the best there is in the world. How do you get a mortgage for one year? Here it's usually 30. Tough decisions, well done, indeed.
