We all start young and believing things, holding ideals in our hearts... And then life happens, and adult world happens... and sometimes slaps down all those things we treasured in innocence and naivete. But despite all that, the core of Self remains... and it's there to find once we let go of the chagrin and shame and embarrassments of all the times Reality mercilessly told us we were wrong. That letting go, the need for it, is what keeps us apart from our original Self. So I suspect. I'm still trying to find me, too.
