Wolf or coyote, I wouldn't be worried about just one of either. A pack, on the other hand... definitely indoors or up a tree!
Best wishes to Wiley!

Well at least you are safe inside . I would not venture out. I hope you have a good torch . I remember you had a wolf or two a year or so back. Hopefully just passing through.

I like seeing animal tracks in the snow. They really show how diverse the animal kingdom is locally...Hoping that today is a better day for you and Wiley.

It would be so neat to see the wolf, from the opposite side of a window.
I sometimes see one out in a rural area between our town and the next one, where there are large fields and occasional woodlands. Plus which, there are a lot of deer and wild turkeys that make the outer areas of the 2,600-acre SIU campus their habitat - which attracts the coyotes & wolves. Your posts about your wild neighbors make your home sound like Camelot for certain. Here's hoping tomorrow will be one of Wiley's (and yours) great days!

Re: actually dear Corbin
I would much rather meet a lone Wolf than a Coyote. Coyotes attack much more indiscriminately than a Wolf which after all is a big Wild doggie. I would not try to pat one but just as I respect a big angry dog so would I respect a Wolf.

You are managing very well, even if it doesn't feel like it. What counts is that you, Wiley and Mr. G are all still afloat! What a job you've had and you are doing great. You have help lined up and it sound like it's under control..... even if it's only one day at a time. ;) Don't go out after dark and don't feed your new friend outside!

Really a wolf? Goodness, that's dangerous. Do you have any kind of protection? And here I wear a pistol when I walk my lane, because of coyotes.......

There is so much to see in beautiful Canada! All the sights you describe are breathtaking, dear. But do watch out for Graysome with a wolf nearby. I'm sorry to hear Wiley is not doing well today. Yes, I think he tires himself when folks are there and relaxes with only you there.
