When someone says they're bleeding from an ear, I think the worst automatically - at least you're still conscious and going to the doc.

Get Thee to an ENT!
Hey, chick, ears and blood are not stuff to take lightly or to pass off as "just a zit." Go get a competent specialist to pull out his otoscope and take a gander at that ear. It may be that you just scratched your eardrum with the swab----I did that once, and it hurt like all heck, and it bled and was very unpleasant for several days. On the other hand, you may have gotten something in your ear (my son stuffed his full of popcorn at Christmas, and we didn't find out until mid-January) that has set up an irritation. And yes, bugs do crawl in people's ears sometimes. Save yourself some pain and potential disaster, get that problem checked out stat!
