Re: BigV

Corbin is good at that. He is one of three people that regularly email me from Blog-it.

When I left in late June, I was fighting another bout with pancreatic cancer. I was involved with a clinical trial back in 2013 the first time I was diagnosed with the same problem. Of the 25 patients in the clinical trial after eight months, I was the only one living. They told me that it would 'most likely return.' It did. I went through more of the clinic intervention, and have beat it back again, but my cancer markers are hovering a bit too high for my liking.

I am attempting to raise enough funds to be able to get back south and be fully admitted into the original study. They will pay all of my costs including lodging and two meals a day. I will be in-patient some days, but most days, they have an inexpensive motel that they give us at no charge... complete with a pool. I'm going to drive down as soon as I raise the last $280 I need. I'll be taking my desktop, monitor, and accessories to make this computer be set up down there just as it is here.

They are very interested in what in my body is actively fighting back against the cancer. They have been getting blood sent down to them every week since last March, and they know that I am making an enzyme that is fighting against cancer. It's rare, but there are many others out there that are doing the same thing. My first time around, they discovered something in me and four others that they have learned to mimic to a degree.

I'll make this a stand alone statement. A cure for cancer is just out of reach now. The next break through could be the thing that makes cancer just as treatable as pneumonia.

That's why they really want me to come back. I have something in me that they want to isolate and learn to mimic and strengthen.

Thanks for the note, and I'll slip over and read your posts.

BigV

Pardon my ignorance,  but last I knew back in June you had left us on Blogit, with a formal farewell.  That discouraged me to some degree,  and I have had a prolonged absence from Blogit since then.

Corbin Dallas became concerned about me and sent me an email, which I answered and it brought me back to Blogit.  Now I have a delightful surprise,  that you are back and posting!  I have not read all your many posts, but it is wonderful to just see you back.  I just did my first post in a long time, over it When Things Just Work.  You should take a peek.... it might just cheer you up a bit, if you are in need of such a thing (and who isn't, these days!)  Cheers
