                I have never taken a sleep aid.  My sleep time has always been upside-down since I have been adult.  I don't know why.  I'm awake all night and sleep during the day.  When I was a nurse, I always chose to work the night shift.  Ribcage has always been the same and has always worked nightshift.  One of my sisters was also the same.  We've all just adapted to it.

                My new DIL is tailking to me about taking it for my insomnia. I'm a bit wary about taking any kind of pill, etc.

I always like to read about it if one can. I noticed the Doc gave me pills,when I sussed it out it said on the packet do not take or more than six days, perhaps I won't order the next two months supply.

                    Melatonin is a chemical your own body makes, based on the
                
                light levels, so I suppose that's why we get drowsy on dark winter days.  I took the supplements for a while, but came to believe it was the placebo effect (if you think it works, it does) and stopped. Don't see a reason not to take it if it helps.
